Happy Easter

We were lucky enough to spend the day with some of our wonderful friends. We met them for brunch at one of our favorite places, Maggiano's. Afterwards we went over to their house and let the girls hunt eggs. They had such a good time. These two are only 2.5 months apart in age, but Miss K looks so much bigger than Miss L! And she outweighs her by about 10 pounds!
One thing I hate about living in Tennessee is the weather! Growing up in Texas, every Easter I had a cute little Easter dress and a new pair of white shoes with ruffle socks. My child had to wear a freaking parka to hunt eggs today!

So, for the rest of the day we are being lazy. Miss K is watching her Dora video that the Easter Bunny brought her. I am reading the end of the Other Boleyn Girl. If you haven't read this book, you NEED to. A million times better than the movie! I've

got to do laundry so that I can get Miss K packed for her trip. She is going to stay the week with her grandparents in Michigan. I'm glad that she gets a chance to spend time with them, but I really do miss her when she is not here. My little "shadow" is gone. We will have a surprise for her when she gets home. Brian bought a new big TV for the bonus room. She's going to love her Dora videos on a big screen!

Blog ya later!

Sorry that she had to wear it, but I love her parka. The kiddos were too sick for us to do Easter services today. We will try again for next weekend, just kiddos and I as B will be away. Sounds like you had a nice restful day though. Happy Easter!

Oh Hollye... hop on over to my blog... Note the purty pix of us in the sunshine - the day BEFORE Easter... We did our Easter Sunday egg hunt INSIDE since it was raining and COLD! PARKA COLD! And my kids didn't take off the jackets once they came in...so they're hunting eggs INSIDE in TEXAS in PARKAS!

After the grandparents went home we even lit a fire in the fireplace!

That's something I love about Texas - the weather is so unpredictible. Our 4th Easter here and the 3rd one in coats :0)
